  Introduction

In the year 3000 the planet Earth was invaded by alien forces, leaving the planet devastated and the human race nearly eradicated. Only a few groups of stragglers were able to resist the devastating attack of the alien forces. The survivors organized themselves into a resistance and, equipped with technologically advanced equipment and weapons, decided to fight back against the invaders (the aliens) to once again provide freedom for the human race. Will the Earth ever again be free?

  Game Basics

Once you have registered you find yourself on the overview page of your character. Here you can find important information about your character and also your personal link, which you can use to recruit players online by placing the link appropriately. For example, you can send the link to your friends, place it on your homepage or use it as a signature in forums. If someone clicks on your link, you receive 1-3 credit as a reward. For each recruit (person who uses your link to register for the game) you have hired whose character reaches level 3, you receive 250 credits; when they reach level 10, you receive 100 platinum! You can invest your credits in training for your character to improve his/her attributes or you can buy better weapons, armour, shields, equipment and matter modules.

You can directly challenge other humans/aliens to a battle, whereby your character abilities and equipment play an important role. More information is available under "Status".

List of features:
- Choose from hundreds of items such as weapons, armour, shields, guns and matter modules to improve your fighting abilities.
- Buy special types of matter so your weapon is equipped to inflict extra damage on your enemies.
- Upgrade your spaceship/base to display your wealth and status and increase your rate of healing.
- Establish an alliance and erect the largest base or spaceship in the entire region.
- Choose your own individual coat of arms.
- Customise your personal character avatar; there are billions of possible combinations!
- Improve your skills for wearing armour and using shields and swords and guns.
- Train your fighting abilities to remain a few steps ahead of your competitors.
- Give your weapon a name to stand out from the crowd.
- Choose from various assignments and decide for yourself whether you want to be loyal to the human or alien interest.

  Status

Here you can see all of the vital information for your character, such as your attributes, your equipment and how many credits you currently have available. You also see detailed statistics about your past battles against the enemy race. You can also train the abilities of your soldier and improve your character's skills so you can use more advanced weapons and armor.

Here are a few details about the attributes of your character:

Alignment
Your decisions in-game determine your alignment, sending you on the path towards loyalty to either the human or alien forces. If your alignment is between -50 and +50, you are regarded as neutral. Certain items are restricted to characters with human or alien alignment.
Strength
Strength determines how much damage you do, IF you are able to strike your opponent.
Dexterity
The better your dexterity, the more effectively you are able to use your armour and shield.
Stamina
Stamina determines how long you are able to fight and how many rounds you can maintain your effectiveness.
Fighting ability
Your fighting ability determines how effective your attacks will be.
Parry
Parry affects your ability to repel enemy attacks.
Experience
You receive experience points when you fight against characters of your own level or above. You get 2 Points if you defeat a character of a higher level and receive 1 point every time you fight enemies of the same level, whether or not you win! When you have amassed enough experience, you are promoted to the next level; you receive 3 skill points, your total maximum health points increase, and you receive a credit bonus.

The skills of your character:

Armour Skill
The higher this skill is, the better the types of armour and shields you may purchase.
Sword Attack
The higher this skill is, the better the types of swords you may purchase.
Gun Attack

Upgrade base/spaceship
You can upgrade your base/spaceship here. The higher the level of your base/spaceship, the faster your character heals!
Equip character
In your base/spaceship you can equip your character with weapons and other items, such as matter modules, armour, shields, etc.

  Store

In the store you can sell and buy weapons, armour, shields, matter modules, guns, and equipment. When purchasing weapons and armour, your skill level will determine which weapons are available. Matter module and equipment availability is determined by your level. Certain items are only available to characters of a certain alignment.

The items:

Weapons
Weapons (guns and swords) increase the damage you can deal to your enemies during a battle. Higher level weapons can be set with up to 3 matter modules.
Shields
Shields improve your defence and increase the attribute "Parry".
Armour
Armour improves your defence.
Matter
The different types of matter available are contained in modules. The modules can be added to weapons equipped with special sockets for the modules, bestowing the weapon with the ability to cause special matter-based damage. There are 6 types of matter damage: dark, light, pseudo, alien (for alien-aligned characters only), human (available for human-aligned characters only) and dracoon damage.
Equipment
Equipment includes various types of alien artifacts and human-developed objects that can be used to reduce the damage caused by matter attacks and/or increase your character's stats. Your character can only use one type of equipment at one time, so choose your purchases carefully!

  Control Centre

In the control centre you can accept various assignments that take between 1 und 12 hours to complete. You receive credits and, with a bit of luck, can also occasionally receive Platinum for completing these assignments. Assignments influence your alignment depending on the quest at hand, steering your alignment towards human or alien. Choose your assignments carefully!

  Upgrade Weapons

By clicking on the "UPGRADE" button next to your equipped weapon on the overview page you will enter the tuning centre. There you can give your weapon an individual name. Furthermore, you can set your weapon with up to 3 matter modules, which causes your weapon to inflict special damage to the enemy; the type of damage depends on the matter type used.

  Mails

The mail service allows you to send and receive messages to/from other players. Here you can also see your attack and defence reports.

  Mission

Here you can challenge other players to a battle to see how you measure up to them. If you attack weaker opponents (level more than 5 levels below your own level), you lose experience points; the higher your level, the larger the level range you can attack with no penalty will become (starting at level 51!). If you challenge equally strong or stronger opponents, you gain experience points. If you fight against human opponents, your alignment shifts a bit towards alien, and vice versa. If you win a challenge, you receive about 5-10% of the opponent's credits, but if you attack weaker opponents and an experience penalty is applied, you will NOT receive as much gold as you normally do!

Battle Sequence
-Battles take place in rounds. The higher your stamina, the more battle rounds you can endure.
-During each round a dice roll determines if a successful attack has taken place or if the defender was able to parry the attack; here the attributes fighting ability and parry are very important.
-The challenger always gets the first attack. If an attack is successful, the damage and damage absorption of the defender will be determined by a roll of the dice. The difference (if positive) will be deducted from the remaining health points of the defender.
-If the health points of a player fall below 10 points, he/she automatically flees and loses the battle. The player who inflicted the most damage is the winner.
-Damage can be increased by using weapons with matter modules, but this additional matter damage can be absorbed by the proper type of equipment. E.g., if a weapon can inflict +2 points of dark matter damage and the opponent is wearing an +1 amulet of dark matter damage resistance, then the minimum and maximum damage values are increased by only one point instead of 2.
-All battle statistics are shown in detail in the battle report generated directly after the attack, but only a more general report is saved as a message in your mail box.

Here you can also send your player on missions aiding either the humans or the aliens, shifting your alignment towards the corresponding side. Your character receives credits for successful missions but missions can also fail, resulting in no experience or credits for your character!

  Alliance

Here several players can form an alliance. Using the "Alliance" link you can either search for an existing alliance and apply for membership there or, if your character has reached level 5, you can establish your own alliance for 1,000 credits. Once you have joined or formed an alliance, you will see new menu options under the "Alliance" link. As a founder and admin of the Alliance you can accept new members, set permissions and kick alliance members. Alliance members must wait 7 days before rejoining the same alliance once they have left or been kicked out of that alliance! You can also upgrade your alliance's base/spaceship here; each upgrade level increases the number of members your alliance can hold. In order to continue upgrading the base/spaceship, your alliance will need many credits, which can be donated by the members.

About alliance wars
- Under the menu item "Alliance wars", the admins of your alliance can declare war on another alliance.
- Every war starts after a 24-hour waiting period and then runs for 7 days, during which time all battles between members of the warring alliance will be recorded.
- For each battle, the number of victories, damage done and stolen credits is recorded and after 7 days the alliance with the most points in two of these categories is declared the winner.
- The number of wars won/lost is shown in the alliance highscore and on the alliance's profile.
- Only alliances with 5 or more members can declare a war; any time an alliance falls below 5 members, any active wars will be ended and recorded as a loss for the alliance!
- If the number of members in an alliance falls below 80% of the number present when an alliance war was started, the war will be ended and recorded as a loss for the alliance that no longer has enough members!
- If the number of members present in an alliance is not within +/- 50% of the number of members in the opposing alliance, a war confirmation from admins from both alliances is required before the war can be started.
- Alliances must exist for at least two weeks old before they can declare a war.
- If an alliance member leaves the alliance during a war (or at any other time), he/she may not re-enter the alliance for 7 days!
- Each alliance may only carry out 5 wars at one time and may end the war by capitulating to the enemy alliance; capitulation will always be counted as a loss for the alliance that yields to the opponent!
- Each war will cost the alliance 1,000 credits for each 10 members currently in the alliance (example: 50 members will cost the alliance 5,000 credits for each declaration of war).

  Highscore

Here you can see the most successful soldier/warriors and alliances overall and also find weekly top 1000 statistics, which show the best players of the week for various categories; the top 1000 statistics are updated each week on Friday night. This so-called PvP (player vs. player) ranking is based on the fighting activities of the player from the past 4 weeks. Data such as number of victories, number of losses, experience points gained and credits gained are used to determine the PvP ranking. Battles from the past week are more heavily weighted than battles that occurred 2, 3 or 4 weeks ago.

The following rank titles with corresponding icons are granted to the players in the top 1000 ranking:

Symbol Rank: human defenders Rank: neutral Rank: alien alliance
